We are extremely happy to invite all of you B.G.H.S. Basketball Alumni to the 2009-2010 Alumni Game.

Date:	Thursday, January 7, 2010
Time:	7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location:	BGHS Big Gym

We are doing something a little different this year. We want to give our alumni more of a chance to play, their family and friends a chance to see them play one more time at B.G.H.S. , and do it as a fundraiser for the basketball program as well. This year we'll have 2 classes play against each other. Class of ? vs. Class of ?. First 2 teams to register with Coach Cuevas will play. Each player needs to pay $25 and you'll receive a t-shirt with your own number commemorating the event. We want a maximum of 10 players per team so that everyone gets enough playing time.

You can also have teams with combined classes if there weren't enough graduates your senior year. The classes of 2008 & 2009 have already shown a lot of interest so get in touch with Coach Cuevas if you're interested. Email Coach Cuevas at cuevas@bghoops.com or call (213) 215-0363 as soon as possible. We'll also have a gathering at a local restaurant after the game so all BGHS Alumni are welcome to join us.

Alumni Golf Tournament 2009 at Ford Park

We are back!

We will be hosting a golf tournament again this summer. After several discussions with many alumni we have decided to make our event more economical. We are moving our tournament, at least for this year, to Ford Park Golf Course in Bell Gardens. Although Ford Park is a 9 Hole 3-par course we will still play 18 holes.

The cost of this years event will be only $60. The date is Friday July 31st, 2009 and we'll get started at 6 PM so those of you that are local won't have to miss work and those of you flying in can arrive later or spend Friday connecting with family and friends.

Great news just in from Newsweek magazine: BGHS has been ranked as one of the top high schools in the nation, and definitely better than Schurr and Montebello. BGHS was ranked #1065 and Schurr was #1214.

Including Bob Bedell's retired #14 jersey. We retired it at our alumni golf tournament Summer 2008. We will host another tournament this summer. More details to come.
